I've got all my uni deadlines in the first week of may, so some time mid may would be best for me - I could definitely use a weekend back down home after finals, and I don't have time to go at easter so a PC meetup around mid may would be ace. (edit: tossing out random dates... sat 14th? sat 21st?)
Any ideas on venues? bodeans was gorgeous, but I don't fancy our chances of getting a table if any more people turn up...
I think all of my projects are due in 19th of May - at least my animation one, got others in before then.
Still, Sophie's Steakhouse is a good place, and apparently the burger place opposite is quite good as well (opened after I left the Lion King, so no personal idea), there is always Belgo's which does seafood - only went once and wasn't sold, but a lot of people like going there. If its beers, The Porterhouse - I am sure they do food, I just have never had any there.
About two weeks ago, mate - sorry I couldn't organize a final gloriously-decadent BBQ feast before I left. At least Lee's on the case! I'll be there in spirit, as they say.
And yeah, we'll definitely meet up when you come over. Let me know if you need a place to crash! Any reason you're waiting until the frigid, icy talons of winter grip New England before you visit?
Its cool mate, we will order a meal for you and i will eat it in your honour!
My mate wanted to go to America so I directed him toward Boston but he couldnt make it until the end of the year :P
I figured it would be a good excuse for a Boston meet if i tagged along ^^
I think it would be a great idea.. especially if people are coming from all over kinda makes more of a meeting out of it.. chowing on food is great too.. just saying is all :P
Trouble is Bodeans was bit of a squeeze last time, and it's that little bit more pricey than Nandos.
Although I'm still up for it again! :P
Wherever we go, I think it would be good if we establish a pre-meal pub nearby to meet at. Me and Lee where at the bar in Bodeans for a few hours and seats where a hot commodity!
if there's more than 5 of us going, i'd suggest giving Bodeans a miss.
don't get me wrong, the food is amazing, but there just isn't enough space for all of us. and the 15% service charge was just brutal last time we went.
edit: Mcgreed, is the issue of needing a place to stay while in london? if so, feel free to stay at my place (milton keynes, short train journey away). that's about the extent of my helpfulness :P
Yea. Didn't they polity kick us out after 2 hrs or something last time too?
Wherever we go it has to be somewhere quiet, so we can talk rather than shout to the person next to us :P
@almighty_gir, appricate it, I live in Guildford so that's not the big issue. I just can't really spend any money these days, since I'm unemployed. Another time though, was fun the last I was at, at Nandos Cheers for the offer.

lol... yeah there's a 2 hour table limit or something. so when they turned up with free shots for everyone i was like "wtf?" and the waitress said "this is our polite way of saying your time is up!"
haha, definitely the nicest way i've ever been shoo'd from an establishment
and yeah, i'd like somewhere quiet... nando's was epic because of the little alcove we were in. but i think from past experience, any bars we went to before/afterward just ended up with sore throats the next day. and not in a good way
Yea, it needs to be quiet.
TBH im not really a big fan of going to the pub for these sort of things, as more than likely we talk shop and its hard to hear sometimes.
I would be happy to go to the Nandos we went to last time and see if we can book that little alcove again

Was there in there two weeks ago and I spent the last of my money on a pile of pig and slaw.mmmm
fuck you dutchy!

Still, always up for an excuse to go to Bodean's again
So just like a regular day? Win!
Im down for some eats
I'm not sure I can afford a train ticket down home atm though. Would people be free around easter? weekend before?
going up and down the country is expensive
drunk as fuck

Im heading to Boston at the end of the year hopefully, so we can met up then if you like

Metalliandy is slapping me around to join this one tho.
Johnny, Haha me too, got to put aside a menu fund for extra ribs!
Im actually leaving on a Sunday, so im cool with any time really
Alright I'm going to suggest Saturday the 21st of May before it gets too late to get organized. Any objections?
shame, really... i'd just started losing weight =[
@vofff,
Wherever copious amounts of nutritionally vacant food stuffs may be found...The mustard packet factory gets my vote
That or Bodeans/Nandos ^^
Personally think Nando's is over rated
Still, as long as there is meat and booze
Although I'm still up for it again! :P

Pre-meal pub is definately an idea to loosen up some tongues
