Hey guys
The fact that it was on the front page and that I am a regular user of these great forums, I thought I'd make a formal thread about my bachelor short,
The Saga of Biorn
(Can't imbed I'm afraid)
I made this alongside eight other students and we spent 9 months on it. I was the co-director, lead character TD and lead compositor.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot - and if you don't well you are free to concider this as careless self promotion
Also, I encourage you to watch the other bachelor movies from my year which can be found on vimeo as well(in the menu to the right)- you won't regret it.

Could you please explain a bit about what the Character Rigs consisted of (main features of the rig)? The beard and hair were simply part of the rig (i.e. keyframe animated) or were they done with something like or similar to Maya Hair? The capes and such, were they done with physics or by keyframe animation?
Anyways i enjoyed watching the short and it really had a funny ending!

The beard on the main character was simple geometry that was controled through jnts and blend shapes at the same time and was animated with keys. The fur on the his cape was done through Maya fur with an automated similuation running. We then only used the alpha of this to control a flat gradient inside Fusion.

the fur looked a little too flat for my taste, but the sense of humor was great XD
We really worked on the story more than anything - however weird it might be
very cool short, and epic props on the style; very Samurai Jack vibe to the look that just worked beautifully in 3D. Thanks for posting this.
P.S. where dem special features at?
i wantem deleted scenes and 10 minute gag realls that stop being funny after 20 seconds but then start being funyy again around the 7 minute mark before you finally just turn it off.
