"ToTex" is a render to texture script that gives you the ability to quickly bake multiple textures to a folder.
ToTex will start baking all the wanted maps with the chose selections and will save it to the specified folder.
thanks all for liking and using this tool and yeah the usability improved a lot these past weeks (thanks renderhjs for the perfect feedback)
I'll see what I can do for the 3 point shader. Don't think it will be that difficult to implement it so i'll start working on it asap.
Curvator maps is also on my checklist...but I don't know what the best way is to make those? Is their like a plug-in that most people use? or is it like setting your material to good settings and then baking that out..
I'm currently working with a classmate on a new version so that xNormal is combined for Ambient Occlussion and cavity maps (think it is the same as curvator maps?)
So more information about these topic more than welcome! or some new suggestions about totex.
very nice tool.
rendering world normal maps would be great.
There is a bug with the "+" on the "normal" thumb button, it opens the AO (lighttrace) popup. In the checkbox list the + works right.
This tool is awesome I love it. Click on a button, click on copy, then paste it into ps. Amazing. I use it with textools. That gradient bake should be useful for guns, making a gradient go down the handle to signify wear.
all thanks for the good response, I am currently rebuilding the whole system and almost done with it. So I hope to release something in the near future. It will be more stable and faster.
@Ruz: Is correct the default colors stay on, I ll add extra parameters for the baking.
@perna: Yes it was my goal to add communication bridge with photoshop. But takes a long time to develop...think I will need to find extra assistance but I did not knew that you could do it with dotnet! so that will go a lot faster, thanks.
ToTex has blended Render functionality that blends several maps baked in one session together as one.
@Serp: thanks, the gradient map was a new one that I did not knew, it was a technique that I learned from Michael Knubben (3d artist).
@PixelHerder : Like I said current version is kinda buggy, new release will be more stable!
Yes it is an only 3ds max tool.
Thanks all, tried to post something new as soon as possible But I am afraid that xNormal feature will be for the later future.
I will put it on the to-do list
Problem is that I would like to release the new ToTex asap. But it will be a downgrade compared to the previous version at the moment. Since everything is being rebuild from scratch.
But I am considering launching a Beta version for people who are interested in instant feedback and requests.

Aside from that, very neat tool
First thing I thought too. That said it's a very nice tool!

Spicypixel: xNormal will take some time to implement
Davision3D: thanks for the bug, fixed it.
I'm currently adjusting the element map so it also works with projection.
After that i'll finish up 3point and post a new version
more idea's more than welcome and thanks for the likes.
keep getting "MAXscript rollout handler exception
- unknown property: "checked" in undefined"
any idea what might be going wrong here? (apologies if its something i've screwed up!)
great tool though

You can download it here. Some features are not yet up to date with the 2.0 version. But I am certain that it will grow in the next weeks.
