My first house. Medieval/Assassin's Creed/Middle East inspired.
Hopefully it will turn into entire city scene, or at least village
Building is completly unoptimzed so far. Using like 5 or more textures. I know it. I'm just making textures, uv's and models at the same time.
But I have few questions, before i start going further.
1) How to make nice looking wood texture ? The That I have by now look really bad. I know it. I just don't really know how fix it.
2) An other pro-tips are also welcome. although excpet wood I'm persoanlly pretty happy with this.

Those links the ayoub44 posted should help a lot,
Also, I agree with the grass and the door handle. Maybe even through in some cobblestone around it. If you put some more props around the building, like crates or some tools, it will help sell it better.
Overall though, looking good! Just gotta keep going with it
If you're going to build a city, start thinking about working modular...

1. I don't think those wooden beams would be cutting through the stone like that.
2. I think your windows are too high, thus prison cell look
quick paintover to break it up, but still too boxy looking
Definitely looks like a house that could be jammed around a bunch of similar houses of different colors for a nice favela effect.
