a big fat project just do not get too bored and stop.
Cheers
found this the other day, cool anatomy ref experiement in google chrome!
skull looks cool! kinda feel like with the level of detail it seems you're going for that the teeth aren't taking it far enough. They dont feel like things sucked up into sockets. looks cool though, cant wait to see more
Update. Found that labelling the model really helped show parts that I have done incorrectly. So i'll tweak some things in the next update. (eg. The occipital bone at the back goes to high up the skull and the mandible needs a few more details.) I'm not too bothered about the underside of the skull and the interior of the nose and the orbits for now, as they dont effect muscle groups.

Can't wait to see more!
The shape of the eye sockets is a bit off. The bottom should have a slight angle instead of being 100% straight.
Looking forward to your progress.
heres a link to a great starting point for reference; http://www.scott-eaton.com/anatomy-and-sculpture-reference-library
@Psyk0. Yep. Your right. well spotted.
Small update. Lots of little tweaks including changing the eye sockets and broadening the nasal bone. Not really worth uploading the video. Also had a mess about with a skull material for fun.
Will be starting on the top part of the spine next.
EDIT: does anyone know a good way to darken the cavities in the material. notice the spaces between the teeth and the sutures are quite bright. I played about with the cavity sliders and tried masking by cavity but it wasnt really working. Is it something in the lighting maybe?
What you got so far Stinger is looking awesome, tiny thing I noticed, was the lower teeth seem to be a bit too much horizontal, in the ref shader provided looks like there is a curve there, other than that, it's looking really solid dude
Also, I was thinking of doing a dog sculpt, but for now, I've got a revised female from my other thread, and an arm I was working on today, any feedback is much appreciated!
that last pic you posted has just made my day jarede... i've been struggling with the arms on my current model for a long time now, especially the forearms, now i can see whats really wrong with it and fix it. thx!
Forearms are tricky, and for some reason I still can't get deltoids correct, but I got Bigjohn to help me with that stuff. Not sure if I got the forearm 100% on this one, but I'm really glad to hear it's helped
I reference Bridgman's anatomy, and a lot of the older masters like Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and Bronzino, I'll post some pics tomorrow
