Hi! I was lucky enough to work on David OReilly's short film "The External World" last year. It played at a bunch of festivals, including Venice and Sundance, and he released the full film online yesterday so I can share some of my animation work with everyone. No games stuff, but definitely a game reference or two!

p.s. Currently available for freelance character animation :-)

I think you should get a few other pieces in your reel that have other animation styles though. People like to already see the sorts of work they'll be hiring you for, and yourss and david-o-reilly's have this very distinct style.
The workflow portion of your site made me chuckle.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. The film itself is pretty insane and it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but if you like the shots here then you should check it out: http://vimeo.com/19723116
I fricken love powerplugboy though.
Whats your process when animating on twos like that? Did you do it manually or is there some script sorcery?
Really dig the feel of cg on twos, very organic and almost have a stop motion feel to it. I would like to experiment with it someday.
bejkon: No special scripts or anything, just good old fashioned stepped mode and a lot of careful keying. For longer motions it was sometimes easier to quickly flip a channel or control to spline, adjust, then bake down to the curve. Otherwise you end up moving 30 keys just to tweak timing or spacing. Working on 2's was great, though. So satisfying just to focus on the idea and the poses/timing without the nitty-gritty polish (which I enjoy, but in a different way). Way faster, too.
Ahaa thanks!
Just saw the whole shortfilm, it was funny and disturbing at the same time which I liked:poly142:
So, I really enjoyed your entire portfolio.
