I agree with Hboybowen. Epic has no reason to make an editing kit of any kind of unreal game because of UDK.

Modding, is MODifying a game. Custom maps, weapon reskins, server mods.

"mod" != "homemade game", i.e. what you would use UDK for.

I dont see what UDK has to do with the original question ? Theres is no guarantee that the latest UDK can or cannot open BS assets so yeah its a totally legitimate question.

(however, the game not having any multiplayer mode that I know of, makes it a bit of a hard case for popular modding ...)

It would be a first though, since they've released the unreal editor for every epic-made/published game released on pc so far?

UDK doesn't open Bulletdtorm files btw, some people already tried. Its a newer version of the .upk.
