Maya 2011, Skin Weights not visible.

Hi guys, When I use the paint weights tool in Maya 2011 the actual weights on the character aren't visible. So there's no white to black feedback on the character

I'm in a student version of maya, I doubt this effects anything but I thought i'd add it anyway.

Probably already figured it out but did you select your mesh before you clicked the paint weights button?

High Quality render mode enabled? Disable it.

Thanks for the replies guys, after rattling my brains and even re-installing maya I found out that a mixture of coloured feedback and view with default material meant that it couldn't display it...

I even got new drivers for my graphics haha
