“Developed with our own patent-pending engine, Fortune Online sets a new standard for browser-based online games,” states Brian Booker, Producer for Fortune Online. “Our engine pushes Flash to amazing new heights, enabling us to create the kind of kick ass game that we, as gamers, like to play – a full-featured MMO we can all play together whenever and wherever we are.”
“Like at work,” continues Dan Fiden, Vice President of Publishing for Gazillion. “But only during lunch, of course. We at Gazillion Entertainment couldn’t possibly endorse the playing of games of any kind during normal work hours. Obviously.”
David Brevik, President and COO of Gazillion Entertainment and designer of Diablo, adds, “I know a thing or two about dungeon crawlers, and with Fortune Online you get into one with unparalleled ease. What we’re doing in a browser is simply amazing. It’s a great example of Gazillion’s focus – free-to-play, console-quality games right in your browser.”

Because you're not a douche or anything.
Oh yeah? Well you're their number one best seller!
Am I? My bad.
I think what he meant to say was:
This is polycount forum, not gametrailers video comments-section.
I'm comin for ya stutte.
Noooo!!
I work 9am-9pm PST.. What in the balls? :susp:
He thinks it looks boring, and that makes him a jerk? I think it looks boring too, I guess I'm a jerk now? If the game is actually fun and awesome and great, then the trailer did little to prove that.
I don't really want to humor you too much, but..
have a computer at work?...no install..no client...good way to pass the time
Since when was Polycount a place where you had to praise everything and withhold your opinion?
You don't have to, but you owe your fellow developer to atleast read up a bit more on the project, or give him the benefit of the doubt.
The gametrailers commentary comment came from the fact that in that place people tend to say the first internet-type thought that comes to mind.
*checks sig.
Can't we all just get along?
Reading up on this game isn't too easy. It has a login screen and this trailer, and a Google search gives me fortune telling websites. Hell, I don't give my own family the benefit of the doubt... But that is really besides the point.
Trailers are all about first impressions! A trailer should inform me about the game and make me want to know more immediately. It should make me think, "Why am I not playing this RIGHT NOW?" It should tell me what this game has to offer, and show me what I am missing out on!
This trailer did none of that. It was dramatic text and video clips of combat I couldn't follow. When a game trailer fails to entice, it practically says "Nothing to see here, move along." And that's as bad as PR can get! I'd feel guilty if I let the developers of this game think for even a second that it got me excited to play their game. They deserve a honest opinion, and I'll give nothing but.
That said, I received a beta invite through Polycount just a few hours ago and there was an error when I tried to register an account.
Well browser based these days just means anything that runs in a browser window, which could even mean unity.
In this case it seems to be actionscript3, which is pretty damn capable vs its predecessors.
oh snap! We've been infiltrated! :poly122:
