I've been lurking for forums for a bit and was very happy to find this place! The community seems great, honest, blunt and most importantly gives useful criticism, all without shying away from dick jokes, etc. Not to mention some of the completely fucking amazing art here.
Anyway, I'm working on my game character modeling skills, trying to get them past the 'barely passable as placeholder' level. As I understand it, the process of creating top tier character models is somewhat as follows:
1.Concept
2.Reference, reference, reference
3.Base mesh
4.Sculpt
5.Retopology
6.UV Unwrap
7.Bake High Poly Sculpt
8.Texture - Normal, Diffuse, Specular, (if required - Alpha, Glow)
9.Rig
10.Animate
With that, I've gotten to step three and wanted to get some feedback to see both if my workflow is setup correctly and also to see if I'm setting up my base mesh correctly. General c&c very much welcome as well.

I wrote a tutorial that covers this process: http://jasongordy.com/pages/tutorial/page1.html
This tutorial is exactly what I've been looking for. I read through the whole thing, and it confirmed what I knew, and added a few super valuable tips.
Thanks!
So I guess I burn this one down and build a new one.
