Hi all,
I have a problem with my hard-surface cylinder.
I've made a rectangle hole on the cylinder so I can put another shape inside.
The problem is : the form above the rectangle is too sharp, not smooth enough.
To support the rectangle shape, I just put some support edges around.
Thanks for support!

Yep ultimately it will help to add more sides to your cylinder before operating on it.
My bug isn't fix yet but the links are really great!
If you start with a cylinder that has more sides, one that will match the area highlighted and subdivide all the sides equally you can minimize the undesired shading.
The problem currently is that you're cutting in edges that change the density and shape of the cylinder. You can solve the density problem by working on a cylinder that has more sides to start with, which will also help it hold shape as you add to it.
So instead of punching a hole that lands between the edges of your cylinder you start off with a much more dense cylinder so that the hole lands on the edges. Think of it like a grid if that helps, you want to land your cuts on the grid of the cylinder.
