cool. i was honestly going for DT look, but i read up on dark templar lore a bit, and took everyone's comments into account, and have decided to make this a High Templar.
I got some time to model today, and played around with head shapes, and tried to take it from a rough concept to something more concrete. The original concept (left) was more geared towards a Dark Templar, and the new one on the right is slowly shaping towards a High Templar.
Hopefully these changes came through, and I saved the original and a few others for potential concepts for others:
sorry for weak update, but i'm also looking for critique. direction is kind of odd but i think i'll be able to flesh something out. kind of a zerg/dark templarish high templar
I spent a about an hour resizing and shaping these legs alone. They have had some pretty dramatic shapes but i'm still not happy at all. I can't figure out how to make them look right. =/
I keep going between making them humanish hips and more of a separate socket like district 9ish. I think the side view is almost there, but if anyone has any suggestions about the front view, I'd like help pinpointing exactly what's funky.
something to note is that the weird detail below the chest is a pattern i plan on using again on the model, so it won't be as out of place, and the legs have absolutely no detail atm
k went back to work on this guy and made him a little more 'traditional.' i was definitely lacking direction before and messing around with some weird concepts but not really sticking to anything. hopefully this looks like it's coming out better. all the armor is very WIP of course

Nice start. I won't say anything more, because as I see everybody have it's own intepretation of how Protoss head should look.
PS. i prefer high dudes, but this one is a dark one definitely
I'd normally say DT, but for the above reason id go with high

here is an nice concept, that's I've been using while making my own protoss-based character (although never finished, maybe later).
Of course, if you want to make your own vision of protoss go ahead . It's still look cool, and you can keep that direction.
Legs look fine. If you are trying to make them more human it's not going to work. They are not humans afterall.
