Been lurkin' a while. Seems like a pretty nice community with a lot of talent. I just finished my first completed character model so I figured might as well sign-up and show y'all in hopes of gettin' some good critiques. I tried to do this model at original Playstation specs but I'm sure I went a bit over on the polys.
Well here it is. Frog from Chrono Trigger (If you don't know him, I don't want to know you.)
Turntable (320x240 render at 2x size to sorta simulate how it'd look on PSX)

I feel that the Frog is al right though hands could be a bit bigger?
Cap: You're probably right. I tried to do the best at utilizing texture space without focusing too much on it. I was lookin' at a website called textures-resource, or something similar, that has some PSX texture rips and weapons from Final Fantasy VIII were 128x32 so I just went with that.
I'll hopefully be able to get him in a nice pose with his sword soon. I haven't taught myself how to rig a character yet but I don't think it'll be terribly difficult.
When I decided to do a character model, Chrono Trigger just seemed like a no-brainer. One of my favorites of all time and since the characters really only exist as 2D sprites and a few concept pieces, I figured it'd be better to learn from, not being able to use any other pre-existing 3D model of the characters to cheat off of and such.
Your reimagining of Frog is insane. Good work.
The only crit wold be the swords texture space also as someone already mentioned !! otherwise its verry clean !
ive seen some crawling around on Deviantart and other random forums ! wold like to see one here !
Edit : like this one !
I'm working on low poly and lower res stuff right now as I'm still a total n00b and it's the best way to learn.
Pulled and all-nighter and learned to rig. The rig turned out pretty good, I got everything to deform reasonably well, this render didn't turn out very pretty but I'm ready to move on.
On to my next character, Ed from Cowboy Bebop.
Thanks everyone for the support.
