This reminded me of something from the other day, but I didn't think it was worth making a thread over:
A while ago, I saw a showreel - I think someone posted it here - with some great work on it. There was a beetle style driod called 'Recon' and an underwater scene with a giant squid and a diver near a sunken wreck as well as a knight character waist-deep in some water.
I have tried finding it again but becasue there's about a million showreels out there, its proved impossible to search for. Ringing any bells?. I think it was a vimeo video if I remember right, but I can't find it there, either.
As far as animation goes, there are a lot of great reels out there but not everyone puts them online (especially the feature guys with stable jobs). Really love Cameron Fielding's, though; such amazing physicality and then he follows that up with a fantastic dialogue piece full of character and nuance.
some aren't *exactly* portfolios (but they might as well be). I've restricted my list to people that I know irl, just so I don't post a bunch of stuff you've all seen already ;D most are 2d artists:
i still have a soft spot for steven giesler. the work on his site predates digital sculpting but i think most of it holds up just fine and then some: http://stevengiesler.com/index_old.html
especially mine is a bad bad example, it doesn't run in internet explorer - don#t ask me why, its impossible to click anything there :X
IE have some issues with Javascript, even the tool I've made in JS doesn't work on this browser. Maybe making a simple scrollable page would be a good idea to simply present your works.
