shadows and streaks

Hello,

I have 2 questions - one about shadows and the other about vertical streaks.

I have read a forum post about setting the shadow distance, but I don't see that option. Is it because I have the trial version still?

Also, does anyone know the cause of the vertical streaks? If i zoom out they disappear, but I would like to take some close up shots of this guy. When I zoom in, I get these random vertical streaks coming off the hair - which is part of my diffuse map - and its alpha is in the alpha channel of the 32 bit diffuse map.

I think you need to start with what engine you are using?

Sorry about that. I am using Marmoset for this render. I can play with the camera distance zooming in and out. The streaks only appear when I am zoomed in, and they are very random. I can kind of get a good close-up shot, but it is tricky. Any help or advice will be appreciated.

My immediate thought is video drivers.

Thanks killnpc. That could be it, and the drivers are up to date. I have an ATI Radeon HD5770.
