Invulse Games is currently working on an unnamed multiplayer top down shooter for iOS and Desktop. We are currently in need of an experienced 3D modeler/animator/skinner for in game art.
Project Overview:
-Top down, dual stick style shooter. This genre of game has been very successful on the app store so far. For examples of the gameplay style please check out
Stick Arena.
-The art style will be modern looking character with a semi-cartoonish look to them. All the guns and weapons in the game will be real modern guns. We are open to new directions for the artistic style of the game, so if you want to have a lot of creative control over a project, this is for you!
-Multiple weapons, armor, and visual upgrades will be available for your character. Each item will be purchased with in-game currency which can be earned by winning matches, killing players, completing challenges, etc..

seriously interested, and we feel like you would be a good fit.

Candidate Requirements
-Experience with low poly game modeling (MAJOR PLUS! SPECIFICALLY IF YOU HAVE WORKED ON IOS GAMES!), game animation and UV skinning. (The game is going to be targeted at the iOS platform, so ultra low poly models will be required. We may also be using a LOD system to include higher poly models for the desktop platform)
-Experience with character modeling and animation.
-Ability to work in Maya or Cinema 4D is a plus. Please include a list of your program knowledge, your level of knowledge in that program, and years of experience.
-Experience with gun modeling is a serious plus! There will be upwards of 20 different guns, and multiple gun attachments.
-Ability to conceptualize characters a major plus! You may be given a great deal of creative control if we feel your artistic style is in line with what we want. You will be paid extra for conceptual art if you are responsible for it. If you don't do the conceptual art, another artist will be providing art for you to build from.
-Prop and Environmental Design. We would like the candidate to be responsible for level modeling.
-Please include a link to your portfolio, reel or links to multiple samples of your work! Please do not send me a pm or post without this information.
-Up and coming artists and students are encouraged! The game will be released on the App Store and possibly on the Mac App Store or other desktop/web distribution platform, so this is a great way to get your art out to the general public!
Payment
We would like to keep our costs low but the position will start at $1500, and more will be considered depending on your experience and portfolio. We apologize but with our current budget we cannot afford to hire any studios to do art for the game, as studios rates are simply to high. We are looking for a devoted individual who would like to be part of a project that will be seen to completion and be of a professional grade.
We are trying to keep costs down so we would prefer an individual who would work for a up front compensation along with a profit sharing percentage of the game. This way you will feel like it is 'Your Game', instead of simply work you are doing for someone else.
