UDK Lighting Shadows & Spec Snafu

Alright, so here's my beef in a nutshell.

Have a dynamic light casting dynamic shadows behind a brush wall, on a brush floor with a material that has a nice spec map on it.

Do you see the problem? The spec is receiving the lighting info through the wall when it clearly should only be a shadow being cast. I cannot figure out what setting or checkbox I missed. Lighting has been rebuilt (alot) and there is a lightmass volume. Is it in the light properties, the wall properties, the floor properties? Any help is appreciated! (Yes, lighting has been rebuilt and there is a lightmass volume)
