I don't yet value my time properly... the fact that I'm posting at 4am when I should be sleeping should tell you that. My new job has, apparently, still not told me that my time is worth anything. That is why I would like to apologize for asking you for your time and not truly understanding it's value.
I miss the 2d rpg's that prevailed on the snes... especially those made by square like star ocean and the legend of mana. Someday, I would like to create such a game.
However, for now, I am just taking the best of what I can find and putting it in a folder, for later.
I shall need characters, and especially a base. Would someone be willing to assign me the copyright contingent on my announcing an RPG within 3 years? (announcing, not releasing, that will take time). Or just create a base model that everyone can build upon and release it CC-BY? (No SA or NC, it's incompatible with every other license. And... it seems to sap my motivation when I'm limited in some fashion. My goal should be commercial, regardless of whether or not that is my final destination).
I will also take whatever art people are willing to give.
Body and head are very similar in size... though a slightly more well proportioned and less chibi character might be able to .
Arms look long enough to reach to the top of the head... even if over isn't an option.
Don't go back and look... just try to create a base that you think fits. I highly suggest widening the arms and legs along their length to give a more monkey-like design... if that works.
Nendoroids seem interesting, but their heads are too large and thier feet animate more like dolls. Even elf shoes and weird oversized boots are better.
Your art is your vote, yay or nay?
