Colour Specular Map and Skin Shader help

Hi Guys,

I have a modl that i am working on and would appreciate some advice.
I have created the Diff and Normal map,now about to tackle the spec map and woud like to add a skin shader a new thing for me.
I have seen various artists create what looks like a colour specular map more so than the grey specular maps i have seen in the past
My question is where in 3d studio Max 2008 Material editor do you place it in the Specular Colour slot,the Specular level slot or both?

Skin Shader i have an old imager of an artist showing how he created a simple skin shader using Translucent Shader and Fall Off.
I am planning on taking the model into Marmoset Toolbag for my final renders.

If anyone could point me in the right direction i would be grateful.
