Well I thought it was about time I started one of these been saying I would for ages just haven’t gotten around to it. Ill probably mostly post 3D stuff as I haven’t drawn anything for months but maybe ill rectify that by maintaining a sketchbook on here.
First order of business, I am doing the infamouss splash damage art test for the LOL's (and to learn Max which I now
)
Just a few GREY shots at the moment. I've made the low poly and made a composition of the props for my scene but ill probably change it around some more. Still got tons of detail I want to add for the normal maps but ill get that sorted soon. At the moment the low poly sits at just over 18k tries
Pretty new to Max so any way of changeing or rendering the wire shots a diffrent colour or more clearly would be much appreciated.

Those metal ribbed panels look placed a bit haphazardly atm though
(save off a copy of my file so I don't have to change it all back)
Set the model(s) base colour to black and set the models(s) material colour to white, which gives me a light coloured model with black wireframe outline. Then I just take viewport screenshots...
Just packing my UV's now, was away at the weekend so I am a tad behind where I should be.

(diffuse, normal map) no spec just yet
Iam just messing with the colour scheme at the moment so it might change. The mesh is around 7.5k tris cant rember the actual number off the top of my head.
I like what you have
Thanks dan.
An update to this model the spec still needs love and probably could do with tidying up the scratches ect. I re-did my uvs as I realised that they werent all that good. Iam going to re-bake the vents as there a bit small and not really comming out that well.
Is that better the diffuse is still the same colours as it used to be the only diffrence is the render settings.
