Hey guys ^_^
I'm still a sophomore, but I thought it might be a good idea to go ahead and make myself some business cards. I'm keeping it nice and simple, but I still have some questions . . .
At this point in time, I'm leaning toward 3d modeling as opposed to concept art, but I'm not sure what 3d I'll be specializing in yet - I love doing props but I've never made a full environment, so I can't call myself an environment artist . . . I haven't tried making characters yet, so I'm not a character artist either!
What would I put on my card? 3D Artist? Prop Artist? Game Artist? Or should I just put my name and list my proficiencies beneath it?
Any help appreciated

but I would go with '3D Artist'. The people looking at the card will know what to ask.
I assume you'll have a website link on the card, in which case that's all you'll need.
After that make some content towards that choice and THEN make your cards.
Your name, role, website and contact details are all you'll need. Make them easy and big to read even if they're just black words on a white background. Reminds me of that video clip of the guys all comparing business cards in that American Psycho film.

Just keep it simple (as you already know) Jessica Dinh, 3d Artist, jesiccadinh3d.com or whatever url you want to use. Don't need to add skills, etc let your site do the talking.
3D artist it is! At least for now . . . XD
I ran into this problem the first time I went to GDC. It was pretty terrible being asked for my business card because someone liked my work and having nothing to give them. Most people struggle to give there business cards to people and you just don't want to be in the position where if ever asked you have nothing to give.
Will gave some great advice and i would go with that.
Also as the saying goes. Keep it simple stupid. Dont do silly things like adding a whole bunch of art too it or trying to make it crazy fancy. The point of the business card to be able to get your information quickly. Also avoid the mistake many do by putting some 3D art on there. The pitfall of this is it locks in the impression of your skill. A person with your card could look at it in 3 months when you have made some tremendous improvements but they see old work, realize its not up to where they want it and not even look at your website.
And thanks for that piece of advice, I was about to put one of my artworks on the front >_> ahaha
