WIP Funerary Head of Professor Elixis Gademy

Apologies to those that have seen the early concept already in the "What are you working on 2011" thread.
My concept is a Funerary Head bust of one Professor Elixis Gademy. He is purely fictitious. I'm using the idea of a bust of a head in a funerary frame with some details on it. I sculpted the head out of my imagination rather than relying on copying a reference. I'll apply things that are relevant to the "Professor" such as a collared shirt, bow tie, parted hair on his head, and scholarly elements to his frame.
Here's the initial concept sculpt. My friend at work "ae." on the forums doesn't like the eyes closed. As the young professor is dead I thought it was a nice fit. Sorry ae (sad panda face). Also thanks to my friend eyo as well, he gave me some stuff to think about in terms of the sculpt and thus I've retopo-ed the mesh! Fire away if there's some cool ideas anyone has. Comments/Crits welcome!
Wire Retopo from concept sculpt. Going to transfer details over and continue to sculpt using this as the new base.
Got some input from a friend at work, she mentioned to attempt a sculpt test with both base meshes (a lower and a higher).
So here's my lower version that I've done tonight!
