Zbrush- Subtool not maintaining UV's after decimation

I am having some issues where when I decimate a mesh the UV's are not maintaining themselves in Zbrush, the problem is only happening with one subtool, my characters vest. I have exported everything else in the scene, by going to the lowest subdiv, creating a UV, going back to the highest subdiv, and creating a texture from polypaint, I then decimate the object and the UVs are maintained and I export everything into maya, but for some reason I cannot do this for the vest :S . Any ideas?
