HAHAHAHA I love all of these little characters. Really great style and sense of humor. I really dig that skater character, and the big headed suit kid that has fallen over. I am really keen to see what drops out of you bag of goodies next
I received some awesome crits. I really want to be a bit more mature of my work. ( No more dick Characters ) and start making some more complex Characters of higher detail. I am nearly done with some freelance work so I am going to start kicking gear in this thread again.
I made this face in my spare time.

cheers, thanks for all your help.
ok time for some brutal honesty here, i think you need to create some complete game characters if you want to work in the game industry as a character artist. if there are other work samples that you are not showing publicly yet but covers what i am talking about next then ignore my post.
right now i dont see a single complete textured game character on your portfolio, yet you are applying for jobs. do yourself a favor and work seriously on your portfolio first.
you can take someone else concept art with permission and make game art out of them.
whatever it takes, get some fully executed game art on your site first before looking for work.
dont get stuck in zbrush making sketches after sketches.
there is no real production value of such zbrush sketches. if you have very refined zbrush sculpts then it a separate issue.
some of these sketches, i have no idea what they are. if you plan to do stylized cartoony work then it has to be super polished as well. but to get into the industry you would either need a shit ton of super polished toon style portfolio like Frederik Storm or have some more serious realistic game art. potential employers wont take your work seriously if all they see is just zbrush doodles and sketches.
also with the website domain name, why didnt you use .com ?
it is quite important to look professional and having a .com domain name is one of the ways.
Thanks MM for the comment again can't thank you enough for the help you've given me.
This thread is kind of a sketchbook thread I guess though I am going to start finishing off more things I'd just rather post my stuff in this thread rather than create a bunch of threads. I've been super busy with some non 3D stuff work going to start pumping this thread again.
Very awesome stuff sir. I cant believe people put soo much detail in just one hour than others who prefer sketching their stuff out, modeling them in 3d and than sculpting them out. :shifty:
Thanks bowen,
Here are wires At first I didn't think I was doing handpainted so it is a bit high-poly The eyes are seperate but I will combine it and weld it to the whole mesh because it doesn't need to be seperate also I need to redo the hair.
cause it doesn't look good in other views at the moment.
Gah! I love the texture for the girls face, but I don't think you are realizing her full potential by squatting her out like that and giving her those stubby proportions. I think she would be perfect with some lanky-ass limbs.

I was thinking the same exact thing.
When I first saw the head, I imaged some thin looking girl with long limbs. Then I was really disappointed.
Your sketches are quite refreshing and fun to look at; I get a sense of your passion from them!
I like the low-poly girl, I agree with the lanky comment but then again not everyone is how you imagine them.
I think if you did a series of these (about 5) and laid them out it could look cool and you'd have evidence of having worked on a coherent project (:
