I am looking for criticism as I go with this model so I can correct mistakes early as possible. I plan on making just a high poly for now and maybe going and making a low poly.

Here is just the base of the mesh but I'm not sure if the front is fine as is.

If this is to be the high-poly model, then the front is fine as is.

I haven't added support edges but I'm worried that will be a problem because of the holes. It seems like it's going to be harder to make them unless I add edges from the first hole all the way back to the stock.

edit: I decided to seperate the front half right from where the trigger guard started and am going to sub divide it seperately.

So the base high poly is done but I'm not sure if that looks right where both sides meet, so some crits would be helpful on deciding where to go from here.

Is this your own design? Do you have anything other than a side reference? Right now the concept looks completely flat, and if you aren't working with front or top references, the model is going to turn out boxy and boring. I know you've just started, but I would have a specific plan to make the model interesting and not just leave it all as a giant long box.

I found the refrence online so sadly thats all I have to go with.. Maybe this wasn't a good idea to model after all . I think I might have a go at a sten MK2 instead ^^ thanks Razgriz.
