Your electric guitar model is pretty good, although adding a whammy bar and an amp connector may help it out. The proportion is nice, and it is obvious that you used a reference and followed it well.
My only suggestion is that you you add a more granulated wood texture to the head of the guitar, else it looks very bland. The rest is magnificent, keep up the good work.
To note, the sculpt looks great, though I'm no expert in the area.
for the sculpture, I suggest using some face anatomical references while working on it-- not that your anatomy is wrong, but it can definitely be worked on some more. For instance, the lower eyelid should be defined a little by making the surface slightly more concaved before it merges with the padding part of the eyelid. Not for the rest of the sculpture, it is up to you, but if you plan on going with the idealistic head, then maybe push some forms a little more. like the orbicularis oris(the orb form of the mouth) and the corner of the lips. Great guitar. It looks very professionally done.
Hammed Al-Tamimi - Thanks! I'll look into that whammy bar if I have the time for it.
Piesandbombs - Thanks! I agree with you on the texture, I might revisit the render when I have the time to do so.
RyanWC - Thanks for the advice. The sculpt is actually a selfportrait, so most of the time I am working with a mirror next to me. But at the same time this also is the first realistic portrait I am trying to make. So its quite a challange to make. I'll post up some updates once I feel like I made some more progress, still working lots on the general shape and proportions.
Mean while I have also been busy with this skull sculpt. Making it for a school project. I think the sculpting fase is done by now. Next up is to texture this one. If anyone has any points for improvement, I would love to hear them!
Your texture elements and overall form are great, so no major complaints. There are a few anatomical inaccuracies that I can spot though.
The coronoid process in the lower jaw seems very rectangular and chiseled instead of smooth and sloping. Maybe try smoothing that out a bit. Another thing I can see are that the tooth wells seem to have that same geometric sharpness along the edges. Try adding more smoothness and indentation along that front surface of the maxilla.
Overall this looks great, but There's just those few things left to polish. Keep it up dude
Suburbbum - Thanks for the feedback! I have to agree with you on the points you said. Guess I'll have to do some more sculpting before going into the texturing.
Here is something I have worked on today. really need to get back to finishing that skull, this one was just somuch fun that I couldn't stop hahaha. Let me know what you think of it. Trying to work in a new style, harder than I thought it would be.
Love this cartoony head above and it has soooo much life to it.. tho..
the moustache looks like it's covering up all the hard work you put into creating that facial gesture.- kind of a shame actually
Maybe a different shaped moustache? A mario one would suit it well.. or even one of those french staches with the curls at the end haha i dunno
anyways.. nice stuff !
*edit.. hope you don't mind critics .. saw one more thing.
The neck line would help solidify the model better if it ran underneath the jaw, rather than behind it.
OverMarvelous - Thanks! I actually have the skin connect with the shell, but its just to far under so you cant really see it, hahaha.
StephenVyas - Hahaha, thanks but I think I'll leave him less of a ninja turtle.
Finnished the Turtle project, here is are the renders of the high poly sculpt with polypaint and the lowpoly (11.2k triangels, 2k difuse spec and normal maps).
LOL this turtle is hilarious, I love it so much! I think the crazy neck makes it, and your proportions are just fantastic haha. Great reptilian skin texture too.
Here's an environment I am working on for school. All is within udk, have done a little of post work within photoshop to give myself an idea where I want to with the lighting.

Next up is the hair.

Also added some basic flat collor over it, just to see what it looks like.
C&C appreciated.
1 suggestion, make the back of his neck (and the other parts that are near the entrance and exit to the shell) attach to the shell ?

Make him a Ninja Turtle! But more of an evil shredder's version of TMNT
I'm DEAD serious. Would love to see this kind of ninja turtle version

allmighty_thunder - Thanks, the polycount is 11.2k triangles.
All the human sculpturing you have done is very impressive!
Keep it up
It's been a while since I last posted here, so time for an update.
