Hello,
First I would like to say that the quality of some of the artwork posted on this forum is really amazing, and I always get inspired after browsing around the site!
I´ve been building up my own portfolio,
http://terjeunnersjojess.com/, for a couple of months now and would love to hear your thoughts about it. Dont be afraid to be brutally honest, I just want to hear a second opinion
Do you think I can get a job with my current portfolio? What is good/bad? Is the site itself good?
Thanks in advance!

I like your portfolio, love the turntable idea, although some people with slower conncetion might have trouble with that.
I also thought it was a bit sad when the vikingships tris count skyrocket when you add the shields. You should think about what level of detail you want for it, right now the shields have more tris than the rest of the ship.
Otherwise, good job, and you´ve inspired me to work more on my own portfolio!
Keep it up!
It would be nice to see some closer shots of the props ect, like the apache gun, it looks great but its dissapointing not to get a nice close up.
Also the navigation for the pictures (breakdowns etc) is not very obvious, and for someone in the industry plowing through portfolios, this can be dangerous for you, if you want someone to really look closer at your work, i know i have the same problem.
Nice art either way, good stuff!
That said, I like the design - it's fresh and original. It has a few quirks and broken parts though:
-Comic Sans MS?
-white line left of your name/logo which is likely just a border error or a div that's a pixel too low.
-empty space in the image viewer.
Personally I'd also change the round arrow thing next to portfolio/wip/about into either a 90 degree triangle or a half-circle. This would fit better with the geometric font.
I think the triangle thing looks best.
And I'm not fond of the about page and the resum
I´ve been posting my portfolio on a couple of other forums, and this is by far the best response i´ve got. Polycount FTW!:)
I know that the models are a bit highpoly for being "lowpoly", but since most of them are presented by themselves I felt that I could bend the tricount a little bit to make it look as good as i wanted. In the case of the vikingship, the whole project started out as only a shield and when the whole ship was finished I just jumped on to the next project :P
I will certainly try make some more closeups of the models and will try to simplify the navigation. Do you think its enough to just make the text and icons bigger?Or maybe change the color of it?
It seems like the weird lines and empty spaces is an Opera-only problem and i will look into it right away.
I will probably take your designtip regarding the arrow on the word, so thank you for that one:)
The whole "About" section is under construction at the moment and I might change the design of it altogether, and you just gave me a bunch of great ideas for that!
The same goes with the resumé, as it is right now its more of a general resumé instead of 3d-specific resumé and I will change that as soon as I can.
But do you guys think the models themselves are good enough to get a job in the industry? Should I focus on making the presentation of them on the website better, or do you think I should focus on making new/better models?
Once again, thank you very much for the feedback and I would love to hear some more!:)
The loading is long as roosterMAP said. I checked your CV if you gonna search for work or internship in other countries except swe ppl dont have time to read your 4 pages cv keep it as simple and short as possible.
I´ve made some minor changes to the whole site based on your feedback, and Ive made some major changes to the about section and the resume. I now have a html version of the resume and I striped down the resume/cv to 1 page which Is mostly concentrated to my current skills as a 3d artist instead of my skills as a IT-technician
I think Ive managed to fix the Opera problems and Ive also made some font and color changes to the turntables to help with the navigation.
Im going to make some new close-up renders of some of the models, but they arent finished at the moment Im afraid.
Let me know what you think about it!
Thanks in advance!
Just a little curious, what are some of your texture dimensions? you might want to include that in your portfolio.
Also, what are you rendering your models in? UDK? They look great!
