Hi

I just installed the newest UDK release and having been away from UDK for a while I was overjoyed to find FBX support added.
Thats as far as I got however as no matter what export settings I use it just says "Import failed".

I'm using maya 2011 hotfix3 x64 with the latest fbx plugin 2011.3.1 installed.
I've tried using the 2009, 2010 and 2011 versions of the plugin.

Any information or a tutorial link would be greatly appreciated :)

I would suggest that you use the ActorX plug-in for Maya I find that its much easier to import models in. If that doesn't work you can always use 3D Max for you conversions.

To install and use is straight forward if you need any help just PM and il get back to you as soon as I can

Sorry if this doesn't help you anyways I haven't looked in to FBX import, but if I find anything Il be sure to reply back

Hey, thank you for the link.
I initially looked into the Binaries folder for UDK but it didn't contained the plug-in for 2011.
Your link did, thank you so much :)

    Try triangulating the model first.
