We are a very young game studio startup building an online Flash-based MMO and looking for a game engineering god. We are developing engaging online Flash-based MMO-style gaming worlds aimed young kids, with a unique and innovative strategy.
You would be a seasoned and highly experienced (5-10 years of experience) engineer with a proven record of developing and shipping MMOs and other multiplayer online games. Were looking for a senior Technical Director and Lead Engineer you would wear several hats in our startup, but your main job would be setting the architecture for our game, coding it, and managing our technical direction as we grow.
You should have substantial prior experience in game studios working on the engineering, technical, and code development aspects of multiplayer online games. Youd help to create our games as well as assemble and manage a top-quality development team. Our games have a strong focus on innovative learning, so youd be able to make a direct and real impact on childrens lives as well!
Responsibilities:
* Get your hands dirty as lead engineer with coding of our game you will be an implementer as well as a manager
* Serve as our technology wizard
* Lead our technical direction and game architecture
* Set our code standards and determine which technologies we use
* Code and maintain libraries
* Manage our engineering teams as we grow
You will bring on board:
* Amazing and proven abilities with C++ game development and architecture, and Flash experience is a bonus
* 5-10 years of experience and a proven track record in developing and shipping MMOs and multiplayer online games
* BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
* Deep game industry knowledge and technology expertise
* A readiness to dive in and get your hands dirty with coding
* Tons of passion for multiplayer games, education (especially for children), and creation of an amazing product
* A performance-driven personality with fast and enthusiastic communication skills
* Friendliness and humor!
