Damn. Thor is my all-time favorite comic-book character, and I was all mentally prepared for if the movie sucks, so I wasn't expecting much and am ready for disappointment. But this trailer makes it look soooo awesome...
The trouble I have with all the recent "Sci-fi/fantasy/graphic novel" movies is that they have to make everything scientifically explainable so our feeble minds can comprehend it and the film can appeal to a larger audience. (I think the trend started with the first Xmen film). This film is supposed to be all Magic and Gods, etc. And yet I still hear mention of a scientific explanation for something in this trailer. I hope they keep it fantastical. What's wrong with doing something that can't be scientifically explained these days.
Bumping since it's out now
Enjoyed it more than I'd expected to, but there's a few things that bugged me. Thor learnt his lesson pretty damn fast, the Destroyer got punked hard, and Loki's motivation was all over the place, felt like they were trying to give him more depth, but it just seems messy.

How closely does the comic stick to Nordic mythology?
