HL2 Model Viewer Normal Checkbox

Hey guys

I don't remember ever having this problem in the past.

Whenever I try clicking the "Normal Mapping" checkbox under the "Render" tab in model viewer it automatically turns itself off right away.

I'm using the Source Engine 2006 version.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

    I've had this before. Keep clicking rapidly, the official source sdk tools are totally broken and unusable. I've even had situations where normal maps needed the Y inverted in engine, but looked fine in model viewer...

    Could be an error with the .vmt name or you're not defining $bumpmap inside your material. I've had that happen before. And like Racer said, the tools are broken. Try using the 2009, or the 2007?

    Wow Racer at first I thought you were just fucking with me hahaha. I clicked furiously and saw the normal map work for like a split second then unchecked it again. After some more clicking I finally got it to stay.

    It works but crap that's retarded haha
    If you get the right rhythm down you can click 4 times really fast and get it everytime.
