Maya: I need help baking a dynamic spline ik back to the ik controllers

I have this setup with 3 chains, one dynamic (driven by a follicle like in this script: http://67.23.4.94/downloads/%E5%B1%B1%E5%AF%A8%E7%89%88-cgtkdynchain-enhanced--2/topics ), one that is driven by a spline ik with clusters parented under some typical controllers, and the bind chain.

I will set it up so I can switch between the dynamic chain or the ik controllers driving the bind chain. What I want to do is switch the dynamic chain on, run the sim, then bake the motion back to the ik controllers. If I just had fk that would be pretty straight forward, but i cant seem to wrap my head around this. I tried to create some clusters on the curve from the dynamic chain but they don't follow the chain and therefore I can't copy the positions back to the ik controllers. I would love to hear any suggestions about how to approach this.
