Could someone please give me a pointer at how to cut the *pink* object into the *orange* object which will then be bevelled backwards. I can't think of a way to cut it in
I have not really modelled much organic style stuff, need to practice.

I don't really want to get into the habit of using floating geometry, messes up AO :P
I'm sure there is a way to cut it in, its just getting the edge flow correct.
go with floaters, would take no time at all to clean up the ao, and certainly less than you'd spend cutting it in and fiddling with edges
