I would recommend the Wacom refurbished store. I always buy my tablets there and they are always practically new quality. Either that or Amazon usually has it a little cheaper than the Wacom site itself.
im going to get a introus 4 large, looking at their website, cost is $728, looked at an ebay vendor, total of $600.
anyone know any good online stores anywhere / stores in AU that sell wacom tablets cheapish?
just my $ 0,02
I'd STRONGLY suggest buying an intuos 3 + an extra grip pen in case your default one breaks and you can't get it anymore (intuos 3 accessories will be out of stock sooner or later)
a) it's cheaper than i4
b) there's no dramatic technology difference between two (there're some driver bugs with intuos 3, causing missing strokes in painter for example, but they aren't that serious)
c) intuos 4 has got a few technical issues, like usb-hubs poorly attached to the board ( http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=178834 - more info)
also there's a 40 + pages thread on the wacom boards filled with angst and butthurt over the i4 cover surface that is KILLING THE PEN NIBS!111oneoneone (you'll have to cash out extra $ 20 or so once a year for the extra chunks of plastic)
intuos 4 is better designed, it also has a nice radial menu feature (that is locked for intuos 3 drivers ugh ugh), but it's also more expensive.
I bought an intuos 3 for like $ 700 a few years ago, and don't plan to upgrade anytime soon.

Ebay vendor sounds good, if you can get a proper warranty with it.

http://www.studica.com/us/en/Wacom/wacom_intuos4_large.html You'll need a proof of enrollment with them though. I bought mine as I was graduating.
looks like ill have to go to the ebay vendor.
