CHALLENGE: And a request... mostly CHALLENGE!!!
I'm thinking of creating a challenge situation... Kinda like when people try to put their hand on top of a bat... if you know what I mean. XD
Would anyone be interested in a challenge where people would try to one-up one another. The time allowed could increases by 30 minutes per submission. People can re-submit artwork by working on it for an extra hour when the contest allows. (Add the total time...)
Before I come up with the rules... would anyone be interested?
My personal request is simple... though... whatever you're willing to give away. Things that mesh well with the Ryzom MMO are the best. Recommended license is CC-BY (so that the Ryzom guys can use it... and so that those starting with Ryzom as a base and branching away don't lose everything). Otherwise... anything interesting is good.
First challenge would probably be a strangler fig tree... sounds simple right... but fig tree's can climb over up to 10 feet of rock to find another tree... grow on another tree... or attach to a rock. The winner of the challenge might not be the best modeller... but the best at accessorizing. Though, I'd encourage someone who created something really stylized and interesting and said "It's an alien strangler fig". c.c;
Also, the winner would be decided by vote... so points for novelty might be worth it.
Just a thought... hmm... deja vu moment... if only I could remember what happened next... oh right... it doesn't work. XD Oh well, I'll try anyway.
