FX Artist / Particle Artist (Naughty Dog)

Greetings,
We are looking for an FX artist to join our team at Naughty Dog. What pray tell is a "Naughty Dog?" I already hear some of you asking. We are a video game developer that makes awesome games for Sony Computer Entertainment. We have developed Crash for PS1, Jak & Daxter for the PS2, and Uncharted for the PS3.

FX Artist / Particle Artist (Naughty Dog)

Responsibilities :
• Visualize, create and implement real-time dynamic and atmospheric effects for both in-game and cinematic application.
• Create effects that conform to the technical guidelines of the target platform
• Seek and provide feedback and communication with peers and leads as a part of a collaborative artistic environment
• Be self-motivated to consistently meet project, team, and personal deadlines/milestones
• Help influence further development of internal technologies and artistic capabilities
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements and Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge and artistic abilities working with sprite type particles and materials within a game engine.
• Strong sense of form, color, and composition.
• Advanced problem solving techniques and patience to resolve the numerous hurdles that present themselves while working to achieve the highest quality effects.
• Thorough knowledge of Maya dynamics, particles and expressions, as well as how to optimize for the PlayStation 3 hardware.
• The self-sustained ability to take on a problem and run with it until completion.
• Intermediate level of scripting either in MEL or Python, as well as strong experience with node based material editing systems are preferred.
• Must be able to provide a demo reel or examples of professional work (Online Preferred), a breakdown of your contributions to the shot, and an accompanying resume.
