Does anyone know of method to use the kinect sensor to capture static point cloud data that can be used in 3dsmax as reference? I have worked with point cloud data from the leica scanners in the past and after looking at some kinect tech demos it seems like there should be a way to adapt the data to do something similar but lower resolution.

I'll be looking at the unity port because its more appealing for me to script for that instead of blender.
