This is part of a project im working on for uni loosly based around the recent comiccon contest, also aiming to use hand painted textures on this

at the stage where i need to start thinking about a retop becuase the neck and ear area are a bit broken

next use mesh extracting the clothing and further sculpting
so when your on top of your mesh hold ctrl (make sure to have lazy mouse on) and drag lines out, then use the deformation tools as mentioned above
which is under my 12k goal :P
kewop and ceebee : yer i need to look at it again that was the first pass just to get all the shape in im going to cut it down a bit more today
whats true: i did retop it by hand...
ive also got it unwrapped and layed out and im gona do some normal baking now to see if its reduced enough/not enough etc...
the only bit im really happy with is the belly atm...:p this is my first proper attempt at doing a hand painted character, so any help appreciated
Did a quick rundown on what your edgeflow and polydistribution should look more like, now it's just a mess, to be honest!
almighty_gir - yes i know im just over killing it a bit to start off with so i can get everything in the right place then im going to tone it down when i start to add colour properly - it wont be that harsh when its finished
