I would have to wholeheartedly disagree. The whole 'origin story' is completely unconvincing in that trailer, is there more to it in the comics? It's very similar to Iron Man's origin story but without the trauma that Stark went through to make it believable. I felt the humour was also very weak compared to the green lantern...although the green puff shooting of Greens nose when he shot himself was a very funny touch. Also the baddie looks like the typical generic everyman (I guess we've been spoiled by Batman.)
Overall I wasn't convinced to go see the movie by this trailer.
He has lost tons of weight but he still is a bit doughy..
He's not quite Van Williams
My, isn't he dreamy.
I'm not sure why we're comparing this to The Green Lantern given that there isn't really a great deal of similarity between the two movies, but as far as I'm concerned based on the trailer this looks like it could potentially be a far more enjoyable film. It probably won't be a great film by any means, but it looks like it'll be fun.
At the very least it'll be an interesting film with Gondry at the Helm.
also stan lee stated they are already working on a CGI Bruce Lee movie as well on "How Bruce lee changed the world". Director Rob Cohen who did 1993's Dragon the Bruce Lee story will recreate Bruce Lee using digital effects in RAGE & FURY .Rob Cohen says Rage & Fury will feature an entirely photo reallistic Bruce Lee with new advanced digital technology . Digital Domain will be working with Rob Cohen on this movie no release date has bin set yet .
Didn't mean to stir up the Seth Rogen fans of the forum. He's just not action material, he's comedy relief. Which if it's campy as it sounds will be a good thing, I wouldn't be able to sit through this as a serious movie.
It's setup like Inspector Gadget, where he stumbles serendipidously through and takes all the credit, while Kato (aka Penny and Brain) actually do all the work.
Seth Rogan's casting really accentuates that fact.
But for those that don't follow 'Green Hornet' it looks like it's supposed to be an 'Action Hero Flick' the Green Hornet TV show that 'most' people are familiar with was on TV was 44 years ago.. So the demographic they are pulling in now, may not be familiar with the 'camp' that is green hornet.

t.
No. Green Hornet was actually a radio show even before that. The TV show tried to take itself seriously, but couldn't. Because as you state. Lee stole the show.

The movie looks interesting but I think I'd wait for the bluray release.
Not enough apparently since he still has a drooping chin and puffy cheeks.

it's because of the obvious similarities between the 2 characters:
(note the green masks, the crime fighting and the green and grey color pallet)
The Green Hornet was pretty much Kato's bitch.

It was not intentionally camp like Batman was.
