OLD POST:
Hello!
I`m doing this character to study low poly next gen. I think I consider the model done because I really want to go to my next project.
Now I want to improve the specs maps(specially on the boots and legs) and the hair and then a friend will do the rig and some animation shots. This is my first low poly character, have about 9.8k tris and 2048 maps to the body and 1024 to the face\bow.
What`s the resolution of the maps used to the next gen pc games? I really don`t have idea.
The render was done on trial of the new Marmoset Toolbag.
Critics and comments are most welcome.

Today I fixed some seams and now I`m working in the hair. But on the marmoset the alpha of the hair is realy hard and jagged . It doesn`t happen in Maya. Anybody can help me?
To break a little bit the annoying work on the hair I started to make the lookdev of the background. It`s without the winning pose yet, btw if you would like to sugest some pose feel free to tell me, It will help me a lot
Cheers,
The thing that stands out to me is that his chest seems too wide. A lot of the visual width on a torso comes from the lats in the back so it may help to narrow the front of his body a bit.
He's also a bit beefy and broad of facial features for an elf, but I suppose that's a matter of personal preference.
Thank you so much for the comment! I agree with you, specially about his face! As this work is about to end and I want to start another projects I will not do extreme changes on the model but I made his face thinner and decreased the width of the chest. I think this helped a bit to decrease the "barbarian" style of the model. Actually I wanted him to look strong even being an elf but I think that was too much.
Later I`ll post some screens.
Cheers!
Rafa
Nice one, dude!
Here a pose study (rig by my friend Bruno Andrade).
C & C are most welcome.
