Hi,

Apparently, my 3DS Max fails to save my adjusted viewport settings (the texture quality thing at the driver configuration). I tried disabling UAC, putting it in administration mode etc.

Any idea what's the cause of this?

Thanks,
DaBeast

/Edit: I actually have 2011 x64, and use windows 7 x64.

/Edit2: Esprite @ the irc channel helped me out, turned out installing the service pack helped.

when you say that you put it in administration mode, do you mean that you are logged into windows as admin, or that you are running the program as admin?

I initially had problems with a lot of my programs not saving my settings, so I set them all to always run as admin, and it fixed the problem. I'm not sure if that will fix it for you, or if it is some other problem you're having. In any case, if you want to try this, right-click the shortcut for the program, click Properties, then there is a Compatability tab or some such, and there should be a checkbox that says something like "always run as administrator".
