Making A Portfolio

K so I'm a heaps big noob when it comes to website stuff but I really want an awesome yet simple looking portfolio but i don't even know where to start.

I have a free Wordpress blog which I found pretty good but it's still kinda limited and not quite what i am after.

Can anyone give me a hand in telling me what I do to do from the ground up eg. Domain, etc cause like I said I don't really know what I'm doing and I don't want to waste my time/money

or, just learn HTML. It doesnt take that long. Look up the basics on youtube, and then find out specifics on google. I only know how to add images and links on images, and here's what I was able to accomplish.

Carbonmade.com is super easy and the free version gives you enough to make a portfolio with.

go carbon made, as Vig says, is simple yet nicely displayed, html is "easy"....... but if you want to make a "good" job it still take you some time ( that you can use getting better in art)...and far beyond html, css, javascript, cms...(if not you might end up with a cheesy looking website not pulling the best of your artwork) etc etc to make something pro. Besides design itself (I am a webdesigner myself, and I use carbonmade for the time being works pretty well)
