Hi, I am dpixeel and I has been around some time in polycount. But not very active with posting in the forum. Anyway I has decided to join the Tron challenge for fun. Here is my rough sketch for what I gonna modeling.
It is kinda buggy car design. I will go for Tron Legacy art direction.
Good luck everyone and have fun.

@Baddcog
thx, I has make the wing with a little more love now.
What is left now is mirror it and texture the car. First I must come up with few design about light lines to the car.
That all for today.
Put the UV islands way tighter together to get out about 30% more from the texture, straighten the tire part more so that you have nice / perfect aligned pixels at that area. Same for some other parts, try to straighten them more as you will need good aligned pixels at this texture resolution.
squeeze out more texture space!
I has straight out few parts a little, I am afraid of I stretch them out to much.
What do your guys think? Any feedback is appreciated.
Sorry for lack of update. Been busy with other work in school.
The texture is still work in progress. As for the light color, I chose pink because I want to try with a diffrent color instead blue or yellow (standard Tron color).
Right now the view mode is unlit and I has not combine the mesh yet.
I will post a another update in few days.
That it is, not so much change from the previous post. If you guys wonder, it is still work in progress.
I like the polycount logo in the car. But you are right, it don't fit in tron world. You won't see it again in next update.
As for the reflections, I am trying to make the car reflect. Tried with dodge tool in photoshop with very low exposure. You can see the result in my in latest wip pic. It is there. Maybe I should add another layer paint it with a grey or some color and play around with the blend modes.
Any tips is appreciated.
I say it is done. Time to go on with environment. When beauty shot and final presentation.
Texture in unscale size:
Here is the finish editor shot and work in progress in-game shot.
Editor shot:
Include texture and wireframe.
In-game mockup test:
As for the in-game, I decided to go for real time in-game menu. I hope it is ok to do. The shot is in 480x320 resolution.
that all.
In-game mockup, this is final. I change resolution to 960x640.
Beauty shot.
It was fun. I will join more of this challenge in the future for practice and fun. Wish I had been more active in threads and post some crits or comment. But I am not good at it. But it will change in the future. That's all.
Good luck everyone.
Thanks for tip, MattQ86.
So what do you guys think? Will this do?
With the deadline extended I will try too improve my car.
I never thought of that before.
So I seek for game menu images for iphone in google images. Indeed all of them don't have "exit game" button.
Look like I have to change my ingame mockup.
