Crit Please- needed for class

Hey, for my Modeling 4 Game class at Laguna College of Art and Design we have to post our homework and get some Critiques so please comment! :]

This is my 2nd High Poly model. I mostly did chamfers but for the ribbed thing i used turbo smooth. (any comments on doing TS over regular Chamfers? TS seems to have more issues in making the model look like a sock..)

    Looks pretty good. A nice interpretation of the concept. Would be nice to see the wires on the highpoly for presentation's sake. There are a few spots on the high-poly that still look a bit faceted. Mostly where the flat plate like piece connects to the glass.

    Turbosmooth can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but if you are careful about keeping mostly perfect and evenly spaced edge loops, the results are easier to predict. Its mostly just planning for the hard edges and letting the modifier handle the rest.

    If you're not already, you might try putting the turbosmooth on a reference of your model, then editing the original to harden edges, etc. That method tends to help during the early blob/poly-jumble stage of modeling.
