just wanted some critques on the model itself. i added the ao map, and ill probably start the first pass textures tomorrow. i got to 460 tris, wish i could have gone to below 400...
Why 400? I'd go all the way to a 1000, if needed, to make it pretty.
Nothing to critique so far. Maybe just that it's too straight and even, if you catch my drift. Adding some irregularity to your objects really helps sell them as more real.
If you're trying to go for real low tri count, you can probably remove that loop on the legs at the same height as the bottom of the body...man, hopefully that made sense.
Also, the mailbox seems a bit too thin. I feel the real ones are a bit thicker, is this same kind you're modeling?
Nice mail box, you could have made some parts floating geo (besides the handle) and maybe get away with It but It would take some thought but not much.
@rico yeah its supposed to be thin, and thank you @$!nz yeah i had originally desiened it as seperate elements, but i found it saved tris making one object or maybe im wrong ha
