3ds max - Can't select edges?

I think my hand hit something, not sure.. But I can no longer select multiple edges in 3ds max 2010.
For example.


I want to select all the edges in the middle by clicking and dragging down like I used to. But it select nothing.
I have to select each edge and ctrl+click the next.

What did I do!? (This also happens when I create a new scene)

you toggled the window/crossing button on the main toolbar (probably has a hotkey as well which you might of accidently pressed at some point)
