Vest_Armor

Hello,

This is a class project. The concept is that the armor is a futuristic magnetic armor that protects against energy based munitions. The armor takes the place of a space suit. The floaty thing is a type of hologram projection or ipad type device that the player can see over the shoulder of the character wearing the armor. Perhaps you can help me make it read better. suggestions for material textures too. I appreciate your comments thanks.

    the texture is very muddy and nasty, your normals are not translating well, which is a shame since your high poly is real clean. whats the UV size?

    There's no High Poly yet it's just an AO map dropped on a low poly. UVs are 1024. thanks for the reply, ho[pefully, i'll get it up by tonight for you.

    I don't think you understand what an AO is. Could you describe to me how you made this, and what it's supposed to do?

    perhaps I was hasty in posting this. I believe AO is the dark edges where stuff meets together with each other. (global illumination[ambient light] occluding darkness[fake shadow]) I believe that you combine it with your diffuse to add a certain amount of depth using shadow. My intentions with this AO render is to map out where i will have certain details ie: scratches bullet holes, which i will add in my normal information as well as the color and spec maps. Please inform me if I am wrong,and anything to make this or my process better. Thank you so much for commenting!
