anyways, trying to do some high poly creatures and could really use some help.
think im getting caught up in the secondary shapes and it's making everything very blobby and noisy/hard to read... dunno
any help would be appreciated ^^

well kinda got a little further with this guy this evening, think it's better than teh first one but still really bleh :poly118:
gonna try doing a more realistic head with ALOT more subtlety in the forms... for now i gotta start sketching out a four legged creature thing
edit: finally kinda found a use for zb4... makes my stuff slightly less grey :P
Yeah some of the level 3 ones seems a bit busy .. One way to avoid that is to finish a level, subdivide to the density needed for the next one, and work the next one as a layer. Then, erase stuff from that layer to get areas of rest back.
It really makes me want to do some too, so thanks for the motivation!

still kinda early but myeah (based off a carlos huante pic i really dig)... gonna try the layer method you mentioned pior, hopefully keep things clean ^^

finally got inspired to start on my big gorilla creature last night (and now i'm just rippin off huante ). Had to make a proper/unique base mesh today and mega glad it's all over (can stick to plain zb sculpting now ^^).

arg, so this full creature thing is harder to stick with than heads :P
prolly doesn't look like much, still just noodling away. Still got hands/fingers, legs, feet and (unf) heads to work out. Wanna try that detailing thing soon.
