Gaining permission to show published work

Hey guys

I was wondering what everyone's experience is with showing off your professional work. Is it fine for you to show off your work if its already been published or does everyone ask permission before posting?

I'm guessing the right thing to do is ask permission but I've often thought that quite a few companies might jump to conclusions and presume your on the job hunt

yea, I would always ask and send them the images you made for their approval. You will find most companies wont mind aslong as it looks good and doesnt give away company secrets but you dont want to risk an NDA breach or anything else like that. The game industry is a very small place and word travels fast, so its adviseable to not get on anyones bad side!
