Hey everyone, here is a piece I entered over at the Gnomon site. This months theme was family crypt. I do appreciate any and all crits, but unfortunately at this time it has been submitted. I could always go back and rework some stuff if need be.
If anyone is interested I used Max, Zbrush, UDK and Photoshop

This crypt looks interesting. Any chance we could get a few different angled renders and some close ups?

already saw it at gnomon - looks really nice only thing that stands out to me is the low-poly-ness of some branches, but thats something very minor.

I like the complementary lighting scheme you used. I might light up the building a bit more to see some of the details in the texture up top. Otherwise it's awesome. Is there a link to breakdowns of it? I'd love to see shots of the Zbrush models.

Thanks, there are currently no breakdowns of the work. If there is enough interest I can wip something up probably.

looks good how long did this take u? the fog looks good but i think if u used particles it would give it a bit more of a random effect then using a planer and since its only a shoot u could get away with it.

add alittle dust or something to the atmosphere give it more of they mystic/strange feel.

I really like the sky dome/moon paired with the composition of the bird and building. The colours are really nice too.

Only thing I would crit are the trees. Just not feeling them. Perhaps try experimenting with planes and alphas to get some small, thin branches in there.

@Ampaist- I cant really give an accurate time frame because it was worked on for short bits and some long. If i had to guess I would say MAYBE 30 to 40 hours. I have some other stuff that this scene doesnt show either. I was modeling it out to be a complete level but just used one small area.
With the particle thing I just did it the way we would do it at work to save performance but ya if i was more in depth with particles I would of possibly gone that route.

@Brandoom- Thanks for the compliments. Ya, the trees branches weren't given much love. They are basically two different trees used in a modular way. i should have added more fingery branches. A buddy at work said that as one of his first crits.
